March 2008: Tom Vezo
Ever since I was a little kid I was an extremely visual person. I used to fight with my brother, who was 6 years older than me, for the front seat in the car so I could see out the windows and take in everything that was going on, and most of the time I would win. I’m attracted to color, texture and form, and the magnificent avian world conveys all of that for me. That’s the motivation behind my bird photography. I am also intrigued by their behavior and life cycles, and that’s why through my 25 years of bird photography I had enough material in my photographic files to compile my two newest books.
